COUNSELLING
Sarah offers a unique service aimed at first gaining an understanding of the child’s particular situation and difficulties they are experiencing. Sarah works in a very positive and skillful way with the young people she sees, and predominately uses a strength-based and goal-orientated model to bring about change for her young clients. Sarah is well known for bringing about positive and noticeable changes for her clients, in most cases, in a short period of time.
Rising High offers therapeutic counselling sessions, using an evidence-based practice model. Sessions are typically 55 to 60 minutes in length. Referrals can be made for counselling sessions through your General Practitioner (GP). Sarah is a registered Medicare Provider, which attracts rebates. Alternatively, you can contact Sarah directly, without a GP referral, for an appointment.
ASSESSMENTS
Assessments and diagnostic reports for students whose teachers or parents are concerned about the young person’s learning development. Such as:
• Specific Learning Difficulties, such as reading/maths i.e. Dyslexia, Dyscalculia
• Cognitive Assessment i.e. IQ testing
• Assessment of Giftedness / accelerated learning
• School readiness assessments for kindergarten children
• School funding reports for disability applications i.e. Autism, Intellectual Disability, Behaviour, Social/Emotional categories
• Behavioural, social and emotional diagnostic and assessments reports
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICE
Sarah can design and deliver tailored professional development sessions on a range of issues to school staff or parent audiences. Please contact Sarah for more details.
Prices: All prices for both counselling and assessments, are extremely reasonable and competitive. Sarah is a registered Medicare provider, which means that rebates may apply for counselling sessions.
